Cristiano Ronaldo Dubai

Let’s start with a classic: spending your winter holidays by the sea, in a warmer place than your home. This is what Cristiano Ronaldo, the legend himself, though, along with many of his colleagues.
Here you can see him chilling out by the pool or on a boat, with the panoramic skyline of Dubai behind his back.
Conventional but not bad at all.

Edin Dzeko

Dzeko

Dzeko, the A.S. Roma striker, went to Dubai as well but he chose a less obvious activity.
He did visit the Saif Belhasa Farm, the private residence of Ahmed Saif Belhasa, a  really wealthy sheik, where he met this funny bear.
He also greeted the sheik with his original jersey.

Simone Verdi

Simone Verdi Finland

Simone Verdi, the Napoli striker and hot rookie for Italian National Team, chose the opposite.
He went to Finland with his girlfriend, in Lapland to be precise: the northern and colder region of the country.
As you can see in the picture below, they had to go all-in to fight the weather!

Stefan De Vrij

Stefan De Vrij Cuba

Now we have another unusual holiday. Stefan De Vrij, the Inter defender, spent his winter holiday in Cuba, in Havana. Here comes the unusual part: as you can see, De Vrij’s best memory of the trip is Plaza de la Revolución, with its iconic Che Guevara memorial.
The sentence De Vrij used to caption this picture? “Hasta la victoria siempre”

Jerome Boateng

Jerome Boateng

Some people don’t forget where they come from. Jerome Boateng is born in Berlin and he plays for Bayer Monaco and the Germany national team as well. But his parents come from Ghana and he went there for holidays. Precisely in Accra, the capital, where he played and posed with a local soccer school. Good job Jerome!

Mario Gotze in Dubai

The midfielder of Borussia Dortmund and Germany national team confirms he is the smart player we all know.
Like many others, Mario chose Dubai as a destination to enjoy the sunny weather, the sea and the luxury pool in his hotel. But we find out he is the kind of guy who read even during pool time. His motto? “Relaxing the body 🌊 and training the brain 📚”

Federico Marchetti

Federico Marchetti

From Italy, Federico Marchetti, the Genoa’s goalkeeper, take up the intellectual challenge! He did post two-holiday pictures on Instagram. So long for the commonplace about football player as ignorant people!

Arkadiusz Milik

Arek Milik New York

Well, Miami was pretty crowded with Serie A players this winter and the Miami Heat stadium in particular. As you can see, Arkadiusz Milik, the Napoli’s youngster was there too, with his wonderful girlfriend.
It’s always nice to see different sports cross each other paths, while great football players show their appreciation for great basketball players.
Milik also visited New York and took a classic selfie in front of the Big Apple’s buildings.

Marek Hamsik

We end this list with the craziest one: Marek Hamsik. He went to Donovaly, a small mountain village in Slovakia, a popular touristic destination.
